With being such a dramatic finish to the NYC Tri I ended up peaking a lot of peoples interest. This included prime time TV show Inside Edition who wanted an interview about my dramatic finish. They did a feature story on the 2nd of September. Here is the archive of the show:

Hi Brent , I too competed inthe NYC triathlon in 2008 and was overcome due to the humidity and collapsed about 200 yards from the line. I woke up 5 days later on Friday in Lenox hill hospital where I spent the previous days in a coma and expected to die. I was wondering on reflection what your thoughts were on the event. for me , needless to say it has had a profound effect on my life and my friends and everyone from Dublin who travelled with me to compete that fateful day. It has occurred to me that the conditions were so extreme that intervention from the race organisers could have prevented so many people getting into difficulties that day and leading to my very very close shave with death. Luckily I have made a full recovery and am actually back training again though my wife and family think I am mad.
