Brent just won the South American IRONMAN Championships in Brazil in a new course record of 7:46:10 which is just 15 seconds off of the iRONMAN World Record!! He raced at the front all day exiting the swim in sub 48 minutes and in 3rd place. He moved up through the ride and began the marathon with a 10 minute lead. He then ran a 2:42 closing marathon to crush the field and record his 3rd career sub 8-hour IRONMAN finish and his 2nd IRONMAN victory. I have no doubt this his long time coach, Lance Watson, is so proud and thankful that he was with him in Brazil to celebrate this incredible achievement.
